Yearly Hair Reminders:
We often get asked about the normal schedule of hair cutting, coloring, and maintenance services at the salon.
The general rule for hair cutting schedule is to get hair trims at least quarterly, or four times a year. If you have a style that requires frequent cutting to remain at the length you like, then you’ll definitely be at a healthy cutting schedule. Many long haired guests go a lot longer in between haircuts to allow maximum growth, but regular hair trims can actually grow your hair LONGER.
Why is this? Hair naturally splits towards the ends as a result of friction, heat, chemicals, age of hair, and more. In order to stop splitting before it continues up the hair shaft (making the breakage of hair higher), getting regular trims can mitigate the threat of splitting and hair becoming thin in the bottom third of hair.
Hair color maintenance is often personal to the client, timing in between a matter of covering grays / grow-out or fading of the ends. We often recommend every 4-6 weeks to maintain the most vibrant version of your hair color.
Hair treatments are also a service we recommend be done quarterly. Treatments are essential to overall hair health, strength, color retention, and shine! By nourishing and restoring the nutrients required for healthy hair, your hair will thank you with less frizz, more vibrant color, and manageability.
New Years Hair Resolutions
2025 is the year to try the color, cut, or style you’ve been dreaming of!!
We resolve to continue to educate ourselves on the newest techniques and technologies in order to keep your hair healthy and beautiful!
Have you finalized your resolutions? There is still time to add hair health to your goals, by switching to professional products and/or adding treatments to your hair routine! We promise they are worth the investment, as treatments are tailored to address hair struggles like dryness, frizz, weakness, color retention, or scalp issues.
Professional products actually last longer due to the concentration of ingredients, meaning you use less, while giving added benefits like purer nutrients, UV/heat protection, and color retention.
We are happy to help you make the switch in a judgment-free zone!

At Home Haircare Schedule
What should you be doing to maintain hair in between appointments?
Always use professional products! Let us recommend you a product tailored to your hair goals. Why professional products? Professional product ingredients are regulated and distributed to professionals only- maintaining the integrity of shelf-life and ingredient potency. While drug-store brands may claim to have similar ingredients, the quality of ingredient, molecule size, and presence of harsh surfactants can make the products damaging or useless to hair nutrition.
Shampoo hair as needed depending on personal cleanliness needs. Hair is most healthy when it is being washed the perfect amount for YOU. If your hair is dirty, it is best to wash it than to try to hold out for a goal number of days in your head. A dirty scalp can cause clogging of pores and flaking. Experiment and find the washing routine right for you.
TIP- did you know you should shampoo twice? Doing so allows you to get the surface dirt and oil off in the first shampoo, and a nice scrub the second time to ensure scalp cleanliness.
Remember to keep shampoo on your scalp and not to add extra to the mids/ends to avoid dryout. Condition hair mids/ends to ensure proper hydration. You should use a hair once/twice weekly (depending on how often you wash) to replenish nutrients and moisture and to help with overall health and vibrancy.
